About Us
Bluegrass Dog Training was founded over 8 years ago by Arwen Price when she decided to start her own training business focused on helping students build better relationships with their dogs. Over the last 4 years, Bluegrass Dog Training has seen tremendous growth and has teamed up with carefully selected instructors who share Arwen's vision of a positive, helpful training space where people can learn, grow, and have fun with their dogs.
Each of our instructors bring years of experience working with dogs and a variety of specialties. More importantly, all of our instructors work as a team together and are able to rely on one another to provide the best possible help for our clients and their dogs.
Meet the Team
Arwen Price has been training dogs for over 10 years and specializes in well rounded family pets and competition sport dogs. Arwen competes with her own dogs in agility, conformation, barn hunt, and rally, so she understands what it takes to be successful in competition. Her classes are geared toward using performance sports to build teamwork between dogs and their owners and give dogs a productive outlet for their energy.
Maggie Kudla has been training dogs for over 6 years. Maggie provides private lessons, group classes, and trains dogs at the training center for our drop off day camp. She is terrific with problem solving unwanted household behaviors, improving manners and general obedience. She also competes with her own dog in barn hunt, agility, and rally and teaches many of our sport classes.
Devin Zimmer has been training for over 10 years. Her specialty is helping dogs become well mannered family pets. She teaches the Sunday Obedience classes.
Dr. Kristina Pattison holds a phD in canine cognition. She has worked with clients for many years to help with behavior modification. Her specialty is aggression cases, resource guarding, reactivity and anxiety. In addition to private behavior clients, she also teaches some of the barn hunt classes.
McKenna Shaffer is the lead training team assistant. She works tirelessly to keep the trainers running efficiently and assists clients with scheduling and questions.
